E.L.F Everyday Basics Palette

23:19

A little while ago I did a post on some E.L.F goodies that I won in a competition and I've been meaning to share my thoughts on them with you for a while.  I thought now would be a good time as I have the worst hayfever and my face is too much of a big puffy mess to take pictures for outfit posts.  I got some new tablets for it today so hopefully they'll kick in in a few days and I'll look more human again.

The first item I'm going to share my thoughts on is the aptly named Everyday Basics palette which contains 32 eyeshadows and I have used it pretty much everyday since I got it.  Most of the shadows have a nice shimmer to them and there are a small few matt shadows thrown in there as well.

The first row of shadows is made up of lovely tones of gold and brown.  These shadows are probably the ones I use most often as they are so easy to wear and are great for creating a subtle brown smoky eye.

The second row has a couple of taupe coloured shadows and then the rest are various shades of bronze with a pink undertone.  My favourites on this row are the two in the middle, they look great as an all over colour if I just want a quick and simple look.

The third row is made up of various shades of silver and grey.  I head straight for these shadows if I want to create a dark smoky eye for a night out.  You can't really tell in this picture, but the last few have gold glitter in which looks really pretty when they catch the light.

The final row is made up of some lovely shades of blue and purple.  Now I will admit that I have not used any of these shadows because when it comes to eyeshadow I'm a bit afraid of colour.  I am hoping to try out a few looks with these shadows though and break my fear of colour.

All in all this is a great palette full of lots of lovely wearable colours.  Unfortunately I cannot find this palette on the E.L.F website, so I'm not sure if they don't sell it anymore or if it is just out of stock.  It is a shame if they don't have it anymore because it is a really nice affordable palette (I think it retails at £9).

What do you think of this palette?  What looks would you create with it?
