Magnetize Me

15:13

I am a little annoyed because I had a few posts planned for the past week but my camera has been playing up.  I've had my trusty Nikon Coolpix for at least 5 years, so I think it's about time to get saving and trade up.  Back to the point of the post, I have been after some magnetic polish for a while now but wasn't too keen on the price tag.  Then I went to Boots last week and saw that they had a 17 version of Magnetized Polish for £5.99 which is less than half the price of the Nails Inc version which is £13.  I also had some money left on my Boots gift card from Christmas so decided I'd give it a try.  I decided on the blue one but I now want it in all four colours!

I was really impressed with the final result and is very quick and easy to use.  First you paint the nail, then there is a little ridge on the magnet lid that rests on top of your finger just below the nail and hold it in place for about 20 seconds to create the lovely ripple effect.  I found that you have to be quite quick when doing this bit because if you didn't get the magnet over the nail straight away it didn't work and I had to redo a couple.  It is also pretty essential that you put a top coat over the top because the polish has quite a matt finish and gives a better effect with the shine of a top coat.

Have any of you tried any other magnetic nail polishes?  Do you think they're worth the money?
