These photos were actually taken a little while ago before the real cold weather set in and I completely forgot about them.  I wanted to share them though as I loved this playsuit when I saw it in the Asos sale and am a little sad that I only got chance to wear it once before it started getting a bit too cold for bare legs.  

This got me to thinking are playsuits really just for summer?  Playsuits are a style I really love but tend to avoid in the winter.  I like to get all wrapped up cosy and warm.  This means a lot of my clothes sit in the wardrobe the majority of the time though, and since buying my own house I have been a little strapped for cash when it comes to clothes shopping.  So, my mission this winter is to find a way to make use of my wardrobe and find a way to adapt the clothes I already have into my winter wardrobe.  I still haven't figured out how I am going to do that with this playsuit yet though.  I don't think black tights would work due to the lighter colours.  But I think layering it over a polo neck or pairing it with a chunky knit might work.  If I wore these in black then I might just be able to tie in the black tights and a pair of black boots, and it just might work.  We will see...

After trying to find the links to these items I've just found that the playsuit is even less in the sale now and is still in stock in all sizes and the boots are now reduced too.  The playsuit is now only £10,  I think it was around £15 when I bought it.  The boots I was actually lucky enough to win on Instagram but they have been reduced online to £13.  I have been seeing white boots everywhere recently and I love this little kitten heeled pair, they are perfect for daytime and are super comfortable too.

I recently posted a wishlist of some very pretty and affordable items from Zaful and they were kind enough to send me a couple of items to try.  The parcel arrived pretty quickly and came nicely packaged in these Zaful ziplock bags.  I was really pleasantly surprised when I received these items because my previous experiences with these online stores has not been so great; poor quality, long delivery wait, badly made, sizing errors etc.  These items however, both costing under $15 were great quality for the price, not at all the cheap flimsy material I was expecting.  They also have a pretty good sizing chart to help you decide on the size you need.  I am a size 8/10 and got the playsuit in an L and the co-ord in an M and they both fit fine, but just shows that there's a variation in sizing so be sure to check the chart before you order.

Unfortunately it has rained nearly every single day since I received this parcel and so haven't been able to get much wear out of them yet or any decent outfit shots.  But I just wanted to share a couple with you so you can see how they fit and how good the quality is.  The first item I was sent was a lovely navy floral playsuit, it fits lovely and has a nice criss cross detailing on the back.  The only criticism I have for this item is that I'd like it to be slightly longer.  I'm only 5'3" and it is very short on me, this may be fine for others but I'm not a big fan of my short stumpy legs so prefer things to be slightly longer.  It is still very wearable though and due to the colours I think this will make a great transitional piece for autumn with a roll neck underneath and a pair of tights.  The second item I was sent was a pretty little co-ord that I actually featured in my wishlist.  It is made up of a little white crop top and shorts in a floral print with frill detailing.  I love this little co-ord, it just screams summer to me, now I just wish we had the sunshine to go with it!

It is starting to get a bit cooler now and Autumn is definitely on it's way, but seeing as I have been MIA most of the Summer I thought I'd share with you a few of my favourite outfits from this summer over the next few posts.  The first is this playsuit.  I found it in the New Look sale hidden amongst all the oddments that there's only the one size left of and it just so happened to be in my size.  It had been reduced to £9, but I noticed that on the end of the tie around the waist it only had one blue tassel, so I mentioned this when I got to the till and they reduced it even further to £5.  Bargain!!  So I just chopped the remaining tassel off and you can't even tell there was ever meant to be any on there.  It is super light and comfy to wear, the only downfall is how easily the material creases, which is one of my pet peeves but for the comfiness and price I can overlook that.  I'm sure you noticed that Riley and Teddy weren't being overly co-operative when I took these pictures so I had to include them in the shoot too.  They definitely don't like to be too far from my side.

I also just want to take the opportunity to say thank you for all your support on my last post.  It was a really hard post for me to write and I was so nervous to publish it but all of your lovely comments have made me realise I made the right choice to start being more open on here and I couldn't be more thankful that I have such lovely readers.

I bought this playsuit when I went to Santorini last year and I'm a little shocked myself that it hasn't already featured in an outfit post on the blog because I love it.  It was part of last years H&M Loves Coachella collection and I don't know if it was all the Coachella inspired outfits on my instagram feed  last month or what but it reminded me that I had this wonderful fringed number.  So I decided that I was going to get as much wear out of it as I could whilst the sun was making a rare appearance (so please do excuse my pasty white legs, they don't see the sun very often!).  I really love the fringing on this playsuit, adding a boho vibe during the day, then add a pair of heels and a swipe of red lipstick and you're ready for a night out.  It's so versatile.

I decided to pair my playsuit with these little peep toe boots and go all out with the fringing.  I bought these boots the week after Christmas in the sale from Asos for a mere £14.99 and have been waiting for the weather to pick up so I can wear them.  I love the cut out backs and peep toes, making them the perfect summer boots, but nobody likes frost bitten toes so when summer does arrive I'll be getting as much wear out of these as I can.

I don't know what it is about fringing but there's just something about it that makes outfits seem more fun and just makes you want to swish around.  Don't you just love it?

Playsuit - Next

I managed to take these photos on a day the sunshine decided to make a rare appearance and judging by how cold it's getting this will be the last time my bare legs will be making an appearance.  As much as I'm looking forward to winter and snuggling up in big jumpers. coats and scarves I'm a little bit gutted that it's time for my summer wardrobe to be packed away, especially as this is the one and only chance I've had to wear this pretty little playsuit.  

Next is not somewhere I tend to shop but my mum loves to check out the Next sale, so I went with her and spotted this playsuit on the rail reduced from £50 to £25.  I love the lacy bardot neckline and how comfy it is to wear.  It is also the perfect day to night piece as it can be worn like this during the day but then dressed up for night with some heels and jewellery or even a little embellished waist belt.  I am hoping to find some way to make it autumn appropriate as I don't really want to have to pack it away to collect dust until next summer just yet.

This post will also be the last post you'll see my hair like this.  I finally took the plunge and took a trip to the hairdressers last week.  I won't say much more as I will be revealing all in my next post, so stay tuned...

I recently received this lovely monochrome paisley print playsuit from iKrush and I absolutely love it.  It is currently on offer with 10% off making it an affordable £17.99, and for the price the quality is amazing.  The material is so nice and light and comfortable, making it perfect for this horrible muggy weather we're having in England at the moment.  I also like the fact that it has sleeves for this same reason, as I'm not sure if it's just me but when it's warm but dull and drizzling rain I don't really feel right going out in little strappy playsuits and dresses.  I also like that the sleeves are wide and flowy adding to the slight seventies vibe given off by the paisley print.  Teamed with my chunky black platforms it makes for the perfect English summer night outfit.
