I have been meaning to do this post since Monday but I have been way too full of excitement to actually sit down and write this post properly, and have been distracted by the puppy too of course.  On Sunday I got the shock of my life when one of my best friends, who has been travelling around the world with her boyfriend for almost a year, was stood at my front door.  After a huge scream, a minor heart attack, crying my eyes out and squeezing all the air out of her I was completely speechless.  I only spoke to her a few days before badgering her to come home as I missed her so so much, like I had so many times before, but like every time before she told me that they had still not found a flight home.  What a lie that turned out to be!  After getting over the shock slightly, I found out she had had the flight home booked since April, but wanted it to be surprise.  I could still cry now I am so happy to have her home.

Now getting back to the main point of this post, which I have been meaning to do ever since they arrived on my doorstep, my Sam Edelman boots.  I love them sooo much and are a lot comfier than I expected them to be.

I think they are most definitely my favourite pair of boots that I have ever purchased.

I am also having a hair dilemma but that will have to wait for another post because Riley wants to play.

I just want to say thank you to you all for your lovely comments recently and apologise for not replying to any of them.  I seem to have a serious case of, as my mum likes to call it, puppy brain.  Riley has been here for a week now and I am completely besotted with him.  This is the first time I've had a chance to spend any significant amount of time on the laptop and I've already had to stop twice.  Luckily he has settled in really well and, although a little mischievous, he has been really good.  Here are a few photos of his first week with me...

Inbetween feeding, playing and toilet training him I've barely had 5 minutes to clean my teeth, put on some clothes and run a brush through my hair.  So this is the only outfit I have to share with you from the last week.

This was just a quick picture on the way out to take Riley to the vets, as you can see I didn't have time to put my shoes on even before taking it.  Hopefully now he's getting into a little bit more of a routine I'll have more time to get ready and manage to look half decent, so I can get back to posting.

I woke up yesterday to grey cloud and drizzle, and although I would still like the sun to come back, I was a little happy that I got to wear my new hat and jumper.  The hat was perfect for keeping the rain off my hair, especially with it's wide brim.  I went on a little bit of an unsuccessful shopping trip with my mum, so we had a McDonalds in the end to console ourselves.  Naughty but yummy.

Oh my god I can't contain my excitement so I have to share it with you all.  Halfway through writing this post the doorbell rang, expecting these I ran for the door but my mum beat me to it.  Then to tease me a bit more, because I have not stopped banging on about them since I ordered them, she ran to the room and would not give them to me.  I literally had to wrestle them out of her hands, what a meanie?  I whipped them straight out of the box and onto my feet, before remembering that I had to finish this post.  So I'll take some photo's later so I can share their amazingness with you all.

I don't have much to blog about this week, as I've just spent most of my time getting ready for my puppy to come home.  Only 10 more days of waiting!!  So just thought I'd do a little outfit post of what I wore out to dinner with my parents.  I got this dress for my birthday in April but have been waiting to look a little less pale to wear it, so I was so happy when I came back from Cornwall with a hint of colour and finally got chance to wear it.

Since I've been back I have also been given two blog awards by a couple of my lovely followers.  They are my first awards and I appreciate them so much, thank you girls.
