I recently went to a fashion show organised by a local vintage store to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity which is close to my heart after we lost my Grandad to cancer and we were given a lot of support and help from the Macmillan nurses during his last few months.  Upon arrival we were given a glass of wine and a goody bag filled with lots of yummy retro sweets.  Unfortunately, being the useless blogger that I am, I was too busy enjoying the show and the free wine that I didn't take very many pictures and the ones that I did take did not come out very well.  Thankfully Vintage Vixen had their own photographer there who took some great photos, so all credit for these pictures go to them...

In case you haven't guessed from the title of this post, I finally got around to seeing the new James Bond film a few days ago.  To be honest I'm not a huge James Bond fan and have only seen a couple of others, but after hearing all my friends raving about it I had to see what all the fuss was about for myself.  I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised and actually really enjoyed it.

This is what I wore on my little trip to the cinema which followed a yummy meal at my new favourite mexican Chiquito's.  I haven't been in years and forgot how good it was.  If there is one near where you live I'd definitely recommend it.

Does anybody else struggle on deciding what to wear on nights out and to parties in this weather?  It's not like summer, where you can just pull on a dress, stick on some heels and you're ready to go.  No, you have to take into consideration how long you have to brace the freezing cold air as you go from bar to bar and how you're going to keep youself warm during those moments.  The simple answer to this would be to wear a coat, but then you're spending all night taking it on and off or worrying about putting it down somewhere and forgetting it in a drunken state.  It's just a hassle. 

 

What are your tips for keeping warm on a night out during these winter months?

 

I also seem to have a bit of a shopping problem at the moment.  I got these few things a couple of weeks ago but have only just got around to posting them.  I am afraid to admit that I have been on two more little shopping trips since then and treated myself to a few more bits.  I definitely need more self control when it comes to shopping.  I have decided though, that I will not buy anything else throughout the whole of December unless it is a Christmas gift for somebody else... I just hope that I have enough willpower or my poor friends and family will be getting a lump of coal for christmas.

 



Am I the only one that thinks it seems a bit too early to be celebrating Christmas?  I went shopping today (and got the gorgeous Matalan kimono from my last post) and they were playing christmas songs the whole time.  Now I'm no bah humbug but it's not even December yet and there are Christmas songs and decorations everywhere!  I just feel like it's too soon and that I'll be fed up of them by the time Christmas gets here.

 

Anyway the main purpose of this post was to show you my new blouse from George.  I love the colour and the nice little £14 price tag.  What do you think?

 



Yes, I'm sorry, yet another apology for being such a rubbish blogger.  I was determined last week to get back on track and had several posts prepared, then for some reason I was unable to upload images.  Hopefully all is fine now and I can get back to blogging more regularly.  You'd think with it being a week exactly since I last posted that I'd have something more exciting to share but I'm afraid not.  Cold days and dark nights make Sadie a dull girl.  Winter is definitely not my season.

So I just have a little outfit post to share with you today featuring one of my new jumpers from my last post and my navy disco pants, which I haven't worn in a while...

I've been on a little bit of a shopping splurge for the past couple of weeks seeing as the temperature seems to have dropped drastically and I noticed that none of my clothes appeared to have sleeves.  So with the intention of buying myself a nice new winter wardrobe I went on a little shopping spree and was mostly successful.  I did get a little sidetracked by a few things though that were more pretty than practical.

 



 

This is the reason that I don't have a credit card!  I have just spent an imaginary fortune at Zara.  These are just a few pieces of my favourites from their winter collection.  After lusting after much of their summer collection, I can see that I'm going to be no different with their winter collection.  Their collection channels many of my favourite trends and I can already tell that I will be spending a lot of this season in black, leather, lace and oxblood.  These are just a few pieces of my favourites from their winter collection.  It's a good job that Christmas seems to be quickly creeping upon us because I can see a few of these going on my Christmas list.

I feel like I've spent the last few posts apologising for my lack of blogging recently and promising to do better, but it appears that I have lost my blogging mojo.  I don't know if it's just that I wasn't feeling motivated enough or if I have a case of the winter blues.  I'm not a fan at all of the cold weather and long dark nights, as soon as it gets dark all I want to do is put on my pyjamas and curl up under my duvet, which would not make very interesting posts at all unless you wanted to see my pyjama collection.  Another problem I have at the minute too is that my winter wardrobe is pretty non existent, so I wouldn't want to bore you with outfit posts.  Hopefully after a little winter shopping spree tomorrow this will all change and I'll have some nice new winter clothes to show you.

 

I did get this skirt in the sale recently from Matalan so it is still a little summery, but I think I can make it winter worthy with tights and jumpers or cardigans.

I can't believe that this is the first outfit post that I have done featuring this shirt because I have had it for just over a month and it is one of my favourite shirts at the moment.  I love how it can be dressed down during the day but then thanks to the bit of sparkle it can be dressed up for the night time too.  The main reason I fell in love with this shirt though was the little gold skull buttons.  As the shirt only cost £17.99 I was a little apprehensive of how good the quality would be, but to my surprise the gold skulls are sturdy and solid and not at all the tacky and plastic little gold buttons that I was worried about getting for the price.

 

I have been loving the bit of sunshine that we have been getting over the weekend, so took full advantage of it and did my outfit post outside.  Of course, Riley was stood patiently waiting to have his photo taken whilst I was taking mine.  I'm sure he was a model in a past life, ha ha!

I am so sorry for my poor blogging recently, I have been pretty busy but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things this week.  I had a fun weekend with friends, including a very humorous meal at Pizza Express where my friend appeared to have an extra topping on her pizza that she didn't ask for... a dead fly! As gross as it was it did become the running joke of the night and ended up in a free meal, which is always a bonus when you have extra money for after dinner drinks.  I also ended up going to a vintage fashion show last night with a couple of friends that was a bit last minute, but we had a great time and there were lots of gorgeous vintage designer pieces.  I'll be doing a proper post on this soon and I'll also be holding my 300 follower giveaway later this week too.  I now have 305 followers so I am a little bit late, but I'd like to say thank you to each and every one of you.  I love reading all of your kind comments and have met some wonderful people.  I know 300 followers may not seem a lot to uber bloggers who have hundreds of followers, but it means the world to me.  I never imagined that this many people would want to follow little old me.  I love you all.
