Weekly Wanted - New Look

It's been a while since I've done one of my weekly wanted posts but I'm going to get back to making it a regular feature on my blog. This week my favourite items come from high street favourite New Look...

Baroque Print Dress - This dress is part of New Look's Label Lounge and is from brand Closet, therefore at £50 it is a little more than I'd expect to pay for a dress from New Look. None the less I love the turquoise print on this dress and think it'd be perfect for summer.

Blue Peter Pan Collar Top - Again from New Look's Label Lounge, this top is £20 by the brand Tenki. I love the simplicity of this little white top but a little interest is added by the pretty blue cut out peter pan collar.

Leather Look Cut Out Mini Skirt - I have to say when it comes to trousers and skirts I'm not a huge fan of white, but this little leather-look cut out mini caught my eye as I was browsing the new arrivals. I love the cut out detail and, even though it's not real leather, I think it's very reasonably priced at £19.99.

Mint Embellished Collar Sleeveless Blouse - This lovely blouse is also from New Look's Label Lounge brand Vila costing £29.99. This blouse instantly caught my eye with it's gorgeous pastel mint green colour and the little embellishment on the collar adding just a touch of glam without going too overboard. I also think this blouse would look great tucked into the white mini skirt I have also picked out.

Cut Out Buckle Ankle Boots - I am absolutely gutted that, in the time between me first finding these boots and doing this post, these boots have sold out. I love the cut out buckle detail making them more of a summer boot and thought these tan boots would look great with denim dungarees or shorts. At £24.99 I thought they were a bit of a bargain. I feel a New Look store hunt coming on...

Barry M Confetti Nail Effects

When it comes to nail polishes I have to admit that Barry M is my all time favourite go to brand. They have a great range, which always apply beautifully and are long lasting, and they are so reasonably priced for their great quality. What I love even more about Barry M nail polishes is their different Limited Edition and Special Effect collections. So when I saw these new Confetti Nail Effects polishes I couldn't resist. I decided to opt for Dolly Mixture which is made up of pretty pastel shades of pink, yellow, coral and blue. The lovely little confetti flakes make a nice change from the typical glitter top coat and the range of colours are perfect for summer nails. I used two coats of the Confetti polish over my favourite Berry Ice Cream Barry M Nail Paint to achieve the effect pictured above, but they looked just as pretty with just one top coat to create a more subtle effect.

Mini Summer Haul

Tops - Primark and H&M

I have been left feeling a little deflated of late when it comes to shopping, which is rather unusual for me. So this is only a little haul really of a few things that did catch my eye whilst shopping. I especially can't wait to wear the dress, I love the blue porcelain print on it. I have also been wanting a fringed leather jacket for a while so I couldn't resist this little bargain when I saw it in the sale for £10!

I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was that has been leaving me feeling so underwhelmed whilst shopping lately until it hit me this week... the sunshine! I realised that whilst perusing the rails of little summer dresses, skirts and shorts in my winter woollies (which should be long lost in the back of my wardrobe by now!) the lack of sunshine left me with no motivation to be buying such clothing. So this week, along with the sunshine, my urge to shop is back with a vengeance and I can't wait to fill my wardrobe with a few summery delights.
