I'm a little sad to admit that summer is finally over and autumn is well on it's way, but I'm not quite ready to say goodbye yet so I thought I'd share what will probably be my final outfit of the summer.  Deep down I'm praying for a few more warmer days and those last few rays of sunshine as I have a playsuit that I bought in the Asos sale that I haven't even had chance to wear yet.  There's a few warmer days forecast for next week, so I have my fingers crossed, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I just love how girly the summer makes me feel, being able to swish around in pretty dresses and skirts like this one.  I've actually had this skirt a few years now but I still love it and only ever tend to wear it in summer.  However, as I'm cutting down on my shopping and wardrobe, this year I'm determined to find a way to transition it into my winter wardrobe and get more wear out of it.  For summer though, as it's high waisted, I like to pair it with a nice little crop top and heeled sandals or some pretty little flats.  I actually got these lovely silver flats from New Look in the sale for £7!  I just love the beautiful beading on them and the vintage feel they have to them.  They really complete the "ladylike" look of this women's skirt.

It wasn't until I went to list where I got each item of this outfit that I realised that it is pretty much a whole Primark outfit!  Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure that this entire outfit (minus the boots) cost £25!  Bargain!!

I had originally planned to wear this outfit when I went to Disneyland (which you can read about here) but once I got there I realised the only way I'd be going out in tights was if they were under a pair of jeans.  Needless to say it was far too cold to be stepping out in a skirt.  The bag however got used every single day.  If you're a bit of a Disney fiend like me you'll be well aware of how many great Disney pieces there has been available at Primark lately.  So, obviously it was my first port of call when I was shopping for my Disneyland wardrobe.  This bag was the first thing I bought as I fell in love with it instantly, it's so cute and only cost £12.  I haven't seen this one in stores lately but they do also have a black leather version and this Minnie one, which I now also really want.  If I'm being really honest, I initially went to Primark to check out their Disney selection as I'm pretty sure that it's an unwritten rule that when you're at Disneyland you have to wear Disney and I didn't want to spend a fortune on it, but I didn't think I would wear any of it once I got home.  How wrong I was!!  My passion for Disney has been reignited and I love finding ways to incorporate it into my everyday wardrobe.  This was my cinema outfit today.  I went to see The Greatest Showman, who knew Hugh Jackman could sing?!  I absolutely loved it and Zendaya has left me yearning for pink hair.

I don't know if it's just that I've been paying more attention to it, but I've noticed Disney pieces popping up in many different stores just lately.  A few of my favourites being this hoodie from Zara, these jeans from Pull & Bear and this jacket from H&M.

As tired as I am right now my head is too busy and won't let me go to sleep, so I have decided to be a bit productive with my time and share an outfit from my little trip away that I told you all about in my last post.  It was a lovely sunny day so we decided to take a trip to the seaside.  The beach has always been one of my favourite places to go, there's just something about being on the beach, feeling the sand on my feet and the waves crashing against the shore that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  That being said I intended to take these shots on the beach now that I have finally battled my anxiety enough to make the trip there.  Sadly, as sunny as it was, it was super windy (hence why my hair looks such a flat windswept mess!), the kind of wind that completely takes your breath away when it blows in your face, so there was no way that was happening.  We decided to visit the seal sanctuary just a short walk from the beach (which I will talk about more in another post that I want to do about all the things I did on my trip and how I managed my anxiety) and in there there was this lovely warm tropical greenhouse that was perfect for taking pictures without all my hair covering my face!

This more relaxed look has become one of my go-to styles recently.  It's just so comfy to wear and I'm really into the more laid-back look recently.  The rose gold Converse I got for Christmas and I have practically been living in them since, they go with pretty much everything and add that touch of sparkle to casual outfits like this.  I have linked them above and if you're quick they currently have 20% off and they are worth every penny!  After having a wardrobe of nearly all black and white for years now I have a new found love for pink, especially this kind of blush colour.  I'm really loving the combination of it with faded denim, so couldn't be happier when I spotted this oversized denim jacket in the sale for £18!  

I'm so happier that the sunnier days are coming and I can start wearing outfits like this.  As much as I love winter and coats and boots, I feel like I can play around a lot more with my style when it's a bit warmer, which is all part of the fun of fashion for me.

I was hoping to kickstart the new year with lots of new content and a new outlook on blogging.  Although I feel like I have failed slightly, I have succeeded in accepting that sometimes things get in the way and not making myself feel bad about not doing what I had originally planned.  I talked about my goals for this year in my last post but one I should probably have mentioned is being a bit less of a perfectionist and not feeling like a failure if things don't go to plan.  I have been feeling a bit under the weather with a cold since just before the New Year and have tried really hard to keep going and working on my therapy to get out and about, but yesterday I had to give in.  I thought I was feeling a bit better and decided to start my new workout plan and 15 minutes in I was nearly blacking out, being sick and hyperventilating.  Needless to say my body was not ready to exercise and as disappointed as I was that I had to stop halfway through, I remembered my aim to be more positive this year and rather than beating myself up about it I praised myself for attempting to even exercise even though I was feeling ill.  I then took my first mammoth three and a half hour nap in years.  This is how I knew my body was telling me that I need to rest because I have never been able to nap properly for the last 10 years!!  Therefore my plan to take blog pictures went out the window, but I decided to take some time to rest and they can be done later in the week.

Instead I've decided to share with you the outfit I wore to Chatsworth Christmas Market.  The coat was an early Christmas present from my mum and dad and I absolutely adore it!!  It is so warm with its fur lining and I love the mix of texture with the leather, suede and fur.  It was the perfect coat for the cold market.  Ordinarily I probably wouldn't have paired it with these sexy green wellies but the car park is always so muddy they advise that you wear wellies, but oh well they probably add a bit of colour to what would have probably been an all black outfit, ha ha!

Wow, I can't believe I didn't post at all last month!  I feel like such a rubbish blogger, every week I drafted posts and the found myself deleting them all.  I have touched on my anxiety in posts before but I don't think I've really gone into too much detail on the impact it has had on me.  Over the past year, as it has worsened, it has picked away at my confidence and identity.  The two things that I believe are the key elements to my blog.  How can I do outfit posts and recommend things to others when I feel like I have no idea who I am anymore?  I feel like I've always been happy with my sense of style, dare I say proud of it, never being ashamed of how I look, who stares at what I'm wearing or dying my hair whatever colour I feel like.  I feel like my anxiety has taken this confidence away from me and with it I have lost my sense of self.  When my anxiety allows me to venture out of the house, I do so in outfits like this one so I don't stand out from the crowd and I can feel invisible.  Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a good jumper and jeans combo but this has gone from my comfy day outfit to my everyday outfit and it's just not who I am or was should I say.  I used to loving mixing and matching items to create the best outfit I could come up with and use them to create different looks and walking down the street with my head held high, confident in my style.

After taking a little time out and doing some soul searching I have decided to rediscover myself and find that confidence I so deeply miss.  Last weekend it was my Birthday and it really saddened me that I felt no excitement leading up to it.  The fact that I had blood tests booked for the day before didn't help (FYI I had a major panic attack and nearly fainted, me and needles do not mix well ha ha) but there was no Birthday wish list or anything.  After thinking it over I realised that it was this loss of identity that had left me feeling like this, normally I'd have a list longer than my arm of clothes or makeup that I want but I just wasn't bothered at all this year.  Me not wanting makeup or clothes or bags or shoes... absolute blasphemy!  Don't worry I still had a lovely day with my boyfriend and family (which I might share with you in my next post) but I am now even more determined to kick my anxiety in the butt and rediscover my identity.

I can't believe it's already September and we are now in Autumn.  As much as I love Autumn and shopping for winter coats and boots, I am praying for an Indian Summer as I feel like we haven't had that much of a summer here in England and I've barely had any time to wear any of my summer clothes.  This kimono has been a godsend though, it was a gift for all us bridesmaids to wear whilst we were getting ready for my friends wedding in Santorini (which you will have read all about if you are a follower of my blog) and to be honest it has been a godsend to see me through this miserable british summer.  I have been throwing it on over absolutely everything and it has become one of my wardrobe staples, so I can guarantee you'll be seeing plenty of it on the blog.  I got this dress from Primark a while ago and I really like the vintage feel it has to it, which goes perfectly with this lacy kimono.  It is one of the few patterned dresses, amongst a sea of black ones, that has stood the test of time in my wardrobe.  I like to wear it with these tan cut out boots, as I feel it gives it a more casual feel and they're really comfy.

I hope you all enjoyed the little heatwave we had here in England last week, I planned to do a lot more outfit posts seeing as it was finally hot enough to start wearing my summer wardrobe but as usual the summer devil that is pollen got in the way.  I tried to enjoy the sun as much as I could and top up my Santorini tan but my hayfever kicked in at full force leaving me looking a sweaty, sneezy, puffy eyed mess and leading to several horrific nosebleeds.  I absolutely love summer but I hate the hayfever that comes with it, so for each day I spend outside I have to spend two days inside recovering.  Before it got too bad though I did mange to get some pictures of this outfit.  It may be a bit bland for summer, as summer is a time that you can really experiment with colours (which I am aiming to do a little more), but for me black and white will never go out of style and will always be one of my favourite combinations.  This to me is the perfect outfit for British weather, which can one minute be roasting hot sunshine and then in a split second change to cold wind and rain, as maxi skirts are nice and loose in the heat but keep your legs covered for when it turns cool and I like how this layered white crop top keeps it from looking too simple.  I love this crop top and will be wearing it to death this summer with high waisted skirts and trousers.

I have also been having a major dilemma with my hair.  I feel like this happens every summer when it is way too hot to leave my hair down and style it, as the heat just leaves it looking a flat greasy mess. I contemplated getting it all cut off and going for a "lob" (which I am still considering) but I know come winter I may regret it.  I love having longer hair and being able to try different styles which I won't be able to do so much with shorter hair.  After getting bored of sticking my hair up in a ponytail or messy bun this pull through braid has become my go-to hairstyle this summer, it's great for keeping the hair off my face and neck when I'm feeling hot.  I'm always looking for new summer hairstyles to try though to keep my hair out of my face, so if you have any ideas please let me know.
