Yesterday I took a little trip to Lincoln with my mum to check out Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair.  This is the third time I've been and I have to admit I was a little disappointed compared to the last two times that I have been, but only due to the lack of stalls compared to previous fairs.  I usually spend a good three or four hours browsing and this time I managed to get around all the stalls in an hour and a half.  They still had some lovely stuff though and some brilliant bargains, so I'd recommend checking out their website to see when there's one near you.

Today I have been enjoying the sunshine and taking Riley for a nice long walk.  Hope you are all having a great weekend and have been enjoying the sunshine too.

It's been pretty chilly today but lovely and sunny so this morning me and my sister took Riley for a long walk by the river and then let him have a little play in the fields.  Wish I'd had the forethought to take my camera with me though as we get a fair few foxes around the village but very rarely spot any, but when we got to the field today there was one running around without a care in the world before it ran into the trees.  Luckily Riley was still on his lead because he like to run over and make friends with everyone.  By the time we got home he was worn out and once he'd settled into bed we went for a stroll into town.  As always I go with no intention to buy anything but when I saw this cute little face I couldn't resist...

I'm loving all the boucle jackets around at the minute so when I saw this boucle style cardigan with gold thread running through the navy edging I had to have it.  I can't wait to wear it.  I have always been a huge fan of Chanel so I love anything in this style because it just scream Parisian Chic to me.

I am so in love with the Limited Edition Paul & Joe Cat Collection they have created to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

I don't think I have ever seen make up this cute ever!  My favourite has to be the blusher sticks that are shaped into a little cat in a hat at the tip.  They are so god damn cute and I love the colours, as much as I want one (actually all of them) I am a little undecided because at £21 a pop I know I would be very reluctant to use them because I wouldn't want the cute little kitty to disappear.  The lipsticks are a little cheaper at £16 each and are in very wearable colours with cute little paw prints imprinted into the lipstick.  I would be less reluctant to use these because the paw prints go all the way around and the packaging is just gorgeous.  Then there are the pretty eyeshadows which are £21.50 each and I love how they are a mixture of matt and shimmery eyeshadows.  I would get every single item out of this collection if money was no object and I wouldn't be afraid to use them in case I ruin the novelty of the little kitty features.  What do you think?  Would you use them or just keep them as novelty?

I have been after some velvet leggings for a while now so I was so happy when I found this pair in the sale for £5! Bargain! I love that they're quite thick and have a nice crinkle effect to them, which you can't really see too well in this photo.  Riley would not let me take any more pictures because he was dying to get out and play in the snow.

I was so happy when I saw the first snowflake fall, I have been wishing for snow all Christmas.  It is a little late but it's better than no snow.  Me and my friend were even debating whether to have a second Christmas now that it's snowing.  What do you think?

This morning I got up and let Riley out to do his business, it's the first time he's seen snow and he was like a little kid at Christmas.  He was jumping and running all over the garden.  By the time he'd done he looked like a little doggy snowman.  Once he'd been in and got warm again he was moaning at the door to go back out.  So I got suited and booted in my coat, scarf, hat, gloves and wellies ready to take Riley out for a walk in the snow.

I've been debating on whether to join Twitter for a while now but feel like I'm a bit late to jump on this bandwagon.  I know very little about Twitter besides hearing or reading about some controversy that today's celebrity has caused by Tweeting and getting themselves into a bit of a Twitter war.  It's something that I had thought was for us just to have a little nosy into the world of celebrity and not for average folk like me, but it seems the Twitter bug is spreading.  It's taken me quite a while to catch it but I've been debating with friends and my sister for the past week whether I should join or not.  Who would want to follow me?  With Facebook, this blog and Twitter would I be left with much Privacy?  So I would like to open the debate to you guys as I know a lot of you have a Twitter account and would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.  Should I join the world of Twitter?

Just so this post isn't just about Twitter and doesn't bore you to death, I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to today.  I've been a bit stressed this week so what else was there to do but crack out my Hummingbird Bakery cook book and bake up a storm (literally, an icing sugar storm) in the kitchen.  I love to bake when I'm stressed there's something I find really therapeutic about baking.  After flicking through all the wonderful recipes I decided to give the Maple and Pecan Layer Cake a try.

My sister got me this lovely apron for Christmas and I feel quite the Suzy Homemaker in it.

I was quite impressed with how it turned out.  It's delicious and nearly half of it has gone already.  Think I will be taking Riley for extra walks this weekend to burn it off.
