The Writing's On The Nails

I have done my nails like this a few times now and I love how subtle but interesting they look.  There's a few tutorials online for these nails but I thought I'd do my own little one for you all and include a few tips that I have learnt along the way.

You will need:
A nude or pale nail polish - I used Nails Inc in Basil Street
A top coat - I have recently discovered LA. Colors nail polish and am really impressed with them so I will do a post on them another day.
Newspaper Cuttings - One for each finger nail, try to make sure you cut a square that is full of text with no sentence endings or new paragraphs as you will end up with blank spots when it is transferred to you nails.

 If you like you can apply a base coat and then paint your nails with you colour of choice.  The paler, the better, so that the print stands out.

 Then dip your nail into the alcohol making sure the nail is fully soaked and carefully but firmly apply the newspaper.

Once you have applied the paper to each nail, rub each one firmly for 30 seconds but be careful not to move the paper so that the print doesn't smudge.  Then carefully peel off each piece of newspaper and repeat with the other hand.  Also be careful not to let the alcohol dry too much as it become quite sticky and may make the newspaper difficult to peel off and rip.
Then apply your top coat to set the print and prevent it from smudging.
