I just can't keep up with this British weather and I never know what to wear from one day to the next.  One minute it's raining and the next the sun is brightly shining.  So, as I just can't get enough of the dip-dye trend, this new jumper I got from George was a no brainer.  It's going to be perfect for layering in this funny weather.

A little while ago I did a post on some E.L.F goodies that I won in a competition and I've been meaning to share my thoughts on them with you for a while.  I thought now would be a good time as I have the worst hayfever and my face is too much of a big puffy mess to take pictures for outfit posts.  I got some new tablets for it today so hopefully they'll kick in in a few days and I'll look more human again.

The first item I'm going to share my thoughts on is the aptly named Everyday Basics palette which contains 32 eyeshadows and I have used it pretty much everyday since I got it.  Most of the shadows have a nice shimmer to them and there are a small few matt shadows thrown in there as well.

So, my Very disco pants have arrived (a few days ago actually) and I couldn't wait to squeeze myself into them.  I say squeeze because when I took them, ok ripped them, out of the packet they looked tiny and I thought there was no way I was going to squeeze my big bum into them.  Thankfully they glided right on and fit me like a glove.  I just wore them casually for a tiny bit of shopping and lunch but I can't wait to glam them up.  Yes, I am a complete failure at shopping bans, although in my defense they were all bargains.

I was recently sent the most beautiful shirt by Sugarlips and I have been praying for the rain to disappear so I could wear it.

Having never ordered from Sugarlips before I was really impressed.  To say they are based in the US the delivery was pretty quick and I usually worry about ordering online because you never know how it's going to fit or how good the quality is.  I did not need to worry about this at all, as it fits me perfectly and the material is brilliant quality.  I especially love the floral crochet detail on the collar and cuffs, and the cut out detail on the shoulders and back just add to the greatness of this shirt.  I can see this shirt coming out of my wardrobe a lot over the summer as it is so versatile.  I already have lots of outfits planned for it in my head.

What do you think of this shirt?  I'm tempted by a few more of their gorgeous items and they have some lovely little bargains in the sale.  Head over to their website and take a look for yourself.

Whilst I was in Norwich I also paid Mac a little visit and completely forgot to include what I bought in my little holiday haul.  I only got a couple of things but I couldn't not share them with you as they are fast becoming my favourite makeup items.  Also I was so excited when I saw the big Mac sign through the window of Jarrolds as there isn't a Mac store near me so I hardly ever get to go. 

First of all I spent a good bit of time at the lipstick counter and my hand fast became a rainbow of reds, pinks, peaches and nudes.  It was so hard to decide which lipstick to treat myself to, but in the end I settled on Costa Chic.  It's a really nice pinky coral colour, but looks a little bit more pink in the pictures than it actually is.

Then after a little peek at the blushers (on the list for my next Mac purchase) I headed over to the eyeshadows.  This is what I originally went in for as I wanted to find a nice colour that I could where as a base for smoky eyes or winged eyeliner.  When I do winged eyeliner I like to keep it the focal point and wear a neutral eyeshadow with a nice shimmer.  After lots of swatching I finally decided on Naked Lunch.  It's a really nice creamy pinky gold colour with a nice shimmer.  I did try and swatch it for you, but as I didn't do this until this evening, the lighting wasn't too good and so my picture does not do it justice.

What is your favourite Mac product?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who reads blogs and is constantly lusting after a pair of AA disco pants, but unfortunately whilst I lust my bank card cowers in fear at the price tag.  Thankfully Very have come out with the best look-a-likes that I have seen and for £35 I can't wait to get my hands on a pair.  All I need now is for you guys to help me decide on the colour because I can't make up my mind.

I am leaning more towards the navy pair, but what do you guys think?

After I bought my Michael Kors watch before I went on holiday I promised to put myself on a spending ban, but when we decided to go to Norwich whilst we were away that went straight out of the window.  I mean, you just have to treat yourself when your on holiday, don't you?!

I do have a couple of outfit posts from when I was away and a few naughty purchases, so you'll get to see them in seperate posts in the next week.  I just thought I'd show you a few holiday snaps of what we got up to in Norfolk.  Unfortunately I didn't take that many pictures as the weather wasn't 100% but there was only one day that we didn't leave the cottage because it rained non-stop all day.  The rest of the week was a mix of sun and showers.

Just thought I'd do a quick post before I leave for my holiday.  I'm off to Norfolk for a week, so I hope the sunshine reappears.  I was planning to post whilst I was away but I've just found out that the cottage we're staying in doesn't have internet.  Boooo!  I was going to do an outfit post but as usual I left packing to the last minute and don't have time to beautify myself.  So instead I am going to show you my holiday nails and what the lovely postman delivered to my door last weekend.
