I have to admit than when dungarees started popping up in every store and magazine page that I laid my eyes upon, I had mixed feelings.  My inner 8 year old was jumping for joy to relive the style of my youth, remembering the days of running around fields and monkeying around on climbing frames in my denim dungarees.  My inner child was then pushed aside by my sensible 26 year old self asking how practical and stylish dungarees really are for a full grown adult.  Of course all sensible thoughts were thrown out of the window when I remembered that I am still a child at heart and I freaking love dungarees.

 

If there's one trend that you cannot miss right now, it's Monochrome.  It's highly unlikely that you will be able to walk into any store right now without seeing a sea of black and white amongst the rails.  As a lover of black, this brings me nothing but delight.  Don't get me wrong I love a bit of colour in my wardrobe, but if there is one colour I find myself constantly going back to, it is black, and I don't think that will ever change.  And what colour goes better with black than any other colour? Moto Striped Shorts, Katz Cut Out Shoes and Quilted Box Chain Bag from Topshop - I love these shoes and think they would look perfect with some little frilly ankle socks.  If I had to give another reason why I love this trend so much it is because, for as long as I can remember, I have admired Chanel and a classic black and white look makes me think of them.  That is why I love this bag.  To me there is something very Chanel-esque about it with it's chain strap and quilted bottom.

I'm loving the new collection from Motel, I love how transitional it all is.  I mean with this typical British weather we may as well not bother shopping for summer and buy some of these lovely items which will take us right through to winter.  As you all probably know by now I'm loving the dip dye/ombre trend, so this shirt and crop top tick that box for me.  Ever since I got my jordan jeans I am a massive convert to Motel trousers, they are really comfortable and such a nice fit.  The two pairs I have picked are my new favourites but I'd really love to own nearly every single pair on their site.  The black and white rose dress is my absolute favourite collection, but unfortunately for me I'd never be able to fit my ample bosom into the tiny size 10 cups.  Does anybody else have this problem?

After I bought my Michael Kors watch before I went on holiday I promised to put myself on a spending ban, but when we decided to go to Norwich whilst we were away that went straight out of the window.  I mean, you just have to treat yourself when your on holiday, don't you?!

Just a quick outfit post to share with you today on this miserable grey day.  I will be glad when these clouds are gone and I can get my little summer dresses out.
