Palazzo pants were all over the catwalks for Spring/Summer 2011, and I fell in love with them instantly. They look so comfy and feminine in pretty summer colours and florals. Now Spring is fast approaching palazzo pants are starting to pop up all over the high street, but as I am only a short 5'3" I'm not sure if I can get away with wearing them. I always imagine them on super long legs, flowing nicely around the ankles, not drowning the wearer and dragging along the floor. Guess I'll have to try a pair and see just how much my legs drown in them.

I having finally got around to catching up on all the shows from London Fashion Week, and I am glad to say that the Autumn/Winter 2011-12 collections shown in my home country have left me feeling a lot more inspired than those shown at New York Fashion Week. Here's what I'm loving...

Before I have even had chance to start shopping for my Spring/Summer wardrobe, Autumn/Winter 2011-12 collections have begun showcasing. Yesterday saw the end of New York Fashion Week, and I was a bit behind with the shows and had to catch up in the last two days. To be honest I was kind of glad because I would've struggled to post about each day. After seeing many of the shows I was left feeling a little lackluster. But here's what I am loving from New York Fashion Week...

I also love that Betsey's more affordable Pink Patch collection was modelled by non-models in Betsey Johnson wigs. It was great to see women (and a couple of men) of all shapes and sizes on the catwalk for a change.

Marchesa... because they never fail to impress me with their gorgeous gowns and intricate beading and details.

I liked the Rodarte Autumn/Winter 2011-12 collection because it had much much more girly and graceful feel than many of the other shows that have gone dark for winter. I also love the naturalness of the oatmeal colours and the corn fields on the hems of the dresses.

Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B collection for this season was not my favourite, but I had to include this picture because I love that she closed the show with her son Kingston. He is one of the cutest and most stylish kids I have ever seen.

Sorry for my lack of posts here lately, my laptop has been broken but now it is finally fixed, YAY!! So I can finally post about the Vintage Fair I went to last weekend in Lincoln. I had a great time trawling the rails of some great Vintage finds. I could have left with arms full of bags but I was very disciplined and only bought one dress...

I absolutely fell in love with this vintage 70's Simon Ellis dress as soon as I saw it, and then when I tried it on I just knew I had to have it. It fits perfectly and is in such pristine condition I'm surprised if it's ever been worn for the last 40 years. I love everything from the colour, ruffles and pleating to the flirty, girly feel of it. I don't have many girly dresses but would love more. You can't feel anything but pretty when you're wearing a pretty dress. I can't wait for sunnier days to wear it, instead of having to hide it under a cardigan. It's one of those dresses that I imagine running into the middle of the garden in and just twirling around under the sun :)

As well as lots of vintage treasures they also have a vintage tea party, with tea served in gorgeous china teacups and lots of scrumptious cupcakes.

I have just seen these pictures from River Island's Spring/Summer 2011 collection and the first thing that popped into my head was Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011 show. It is clear they have taken inspiration from his collection with their shades of purple and red, this peasant blouse and diagonally striped maxi dress. I personally loved Marc Jacob's 70's inspired collection, so it is nice to see more affordable versions hitting the high street. I hope to see more hitting the high street soon.
