Just a quick outfit post of what I wore today.  It's been lovely and sunny but not quite warm enough to venture out in summer clothes yet, so thought add some bright summer colour to my outfit.  Not the best of pictures but only had two seconds to snap a quick picture before leaving the house.



Just a quick little post to show you what I got from Primark last weekend.  They've got lots of lovely things in there at the minute but unfortunately my bank balance won't allow me to have it all.  After several trips to the changing rooms, because I had so much stuff I had to swap items twice as I was over the item limit, I finally decided on these...

I have been on the hunt for a nice simple black bag for a while now that's not too big but big enough to fit all mine (and Riley's) stuff in.  Yes going out with Riley is like taking a baby out, you have to be prepared, my bag essentials now include puppy treats, dog toys and poo bags.  Good job I haven't done a what's in my bag post, I'd be a little afraid of what I might find in there now.  Every bag I've seen is the wrong size, not really my style or too expensive, so I was delighted when I saw this one in Primark, it's just the right size and I love satchels.  What I loved about it most though was the price... £5!!  Such a steal in the sale and it seems really good quality too.


This dress was £16 and I love how simple it is but the collar and little faux pocket stop it from being too plain and can be styled in many different ways.


This top was £8 it looks very pale in this photo but it is a really nice pastel lemon colour.  It is quite sheer, but not a problem that a simple vest won't solve, and I love the little white collar and scallop detailing.


I haven't actually counted these bangles but there are quite a few, which I think was good value for £3.  I love stacked bracelets and I thought these simple gold ones would be perfect fo stacking with larger bangles.

I also got a t-shirt but I have pretty much living in it so it's in the wash, but I'm sure you'll see it at some point in an outfit post.  It's so easy to wear and is such a nice fit.

I have done my nails like this a few times now and I love how subtle but interesting they look.  There's a few tutorials online for these nails but I thought I'd do my own little one for you all and include a few tips that I have learnt along the way.

You will need:

A nude or pale nail polish - I used Nails Inc in Basil Street

A top coat - I have recently discovered LA. Colors nail polish and am really impressed with them so I will do a post on them another day.

Newspaper Cuttings - One for each finger nail, try to make sure you cut a square that is full of text with no sentence endings or new paragraphs as you will end up with blank spots when it is transferred to you nails.

 If you like you can apply a base coat and then paint your nails with you colour of choice.  The paler, the better, so that the print stands out.

 Then dip your nail into the alcohol making sure the nail is fully soaked and carefully but firmly apply the newspaper.

Once you have applied the paper to each nail, rub each one firmly for 30 seconds but be careful not to move the paper so that the print doesn't smudge.  Then carefully peel off each piece of newspaper and repeat with the other hand.  Also be careful not to let the alcohol dry too much as it become quite sticky and may make the newspaper difficult to peel off and rip.
Then apply your top coat to set the print and prevent it from smudging.

Yesterday I took a little trip to Lincoln with my mum to check out Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair.  This is the third time I've been and I have to admit I was a little disappointed compared to the last two times that I have been, but only due to the lack of stalls compared to previous fairs.  I usually spend a good three or four hours browsing and this time I managed to get around all the stalls in an hour and a half.  They still had some lovely stuff though and some brilliant bargains, so I'd recommend checking out their website to see when there's one near you.

Today I have been enjoying the sunshine and taking Riley for a nice long walk.  Hope you are all having a great weekend and have been enjoying the sunshine too.

It's been pretty chilly today but lovely and sunny so this morning me and my sister took Riley for a long walk by the river and then let him have a little play in the fields.  Wish I'd had the forethought to take my camera with me though as we get a fair few foxes around the village but very rarely spot any, but when we got to the field today there was one running around without a care in the world before it ran into the trees.  Luckily Riley was still on his lead because he like to run over and make friends with everyone.  By the time we got home he was worn out and once he'd settled into bed we went for a stroll into town.  As always I go with no intention to buy anything but when I saw this cute little face I couldn't resist...

I'm loving all the boucle jackets around at the minute so when I saw this boucle style cardigan with gold thread running through the navy edging I had to have it.  I can't wait to wear it.  I have always been a huge fan of Chanel so I love anything in this style because it just scream Parisian Chic to me.

I am so in love with the Limited Edition Paul & Joe Cat Collection they have created to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

I don't think I have ever seen make up this cute ever!  My favourite has to be the blusher sticks that are shaped into a little cat in a hat at the tip.  They are so god damn cute and I love the colours, as much as I want one (actually all of them) I am a little undecided because at £21 a pop I know I would be very reluctant to use them because I wouldn't want the cute little kitty to disappear.  The lipsticks are a little cheaper at £16 each and are in very wearable colours with cute little paw prints imprinted into the lipstick.  I would be less reluctant to use these because the paw prints go all the way around and the packaging is just gorgeous.  Then there are the pretty eyeshadows which are £21.50 each and I love how they are a mixture of matt and shimmery eyeshadows.  I would get every single item out of this collection if money was no object and I wouldn't be afraid to use them in case I ruin the novelty of the little kitty features.  What do you think?  Would you use them or just keep them as novelty?

I have been after some velvet leggings for a while now so I was so happy when I found this pair in the sale for £5! Bargain! I love that they're quite thick and have a nice crinkle effect to them, which you can't really see too well in this photo.  Riley would not let me take any more pictures because he was dying to get out and play in the snow.

I was so happy when I saw the first snowflake fall, I have been wishing for snow all Christmas.  It is a little late but it's better than no snow.  Me and my friend were even debating whether to have a second Christmas now that it's snowing.  What do you think?

This morning I got up and let Riley out to do his business, it's the first time he's seen snow and he was like a little kid at Christmas.  He was jumping and running all over the garden.  By the time he'd done he looked like a little doggy snowman.  Once he'd been in and got warm again he was moaning at the door to go back out.  So I got suited and booted in my coat, scarf, hat, gloves and wellies ready to take Riley out for a walk in the snow.
