A couple of weeks ago I entered a competition to win some E.L.F goodies, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out that I had won and this box landed on my doorstep.

I really cannot express how much I love this Everyday Basics eyeshadow collection.  The colours are so wearable, I don't think that there is a single shadow in it that I wouldn't wear.  I also couldn't wait to try out the brushes as I did a post on some new make up brushes a couple of weeks ago and wasn't completely happy with the eyeshadow brushes and felt that they were too thin.  I absolutely love the eyeshadow brush in this set.  It is lovely and fluffy and applies the eyeshadow so nicely.  All of the brushes are really good quality and I know I got them for free but I really would spend my money on them.  They are so affordable and soft.  If I had to pick my favourite brushes from this set it would have to be the eyeshadow brush and the big Flawless Total Face Brush.  I love them.  I'm not really one for bling so this Tool Kit is not something I would normally have bought but is a nice little kit for someone who does.

Excuse my squinty face, I am so happy to say that the sun was in my eyes.  I'm not usually a huge fan of yellow clothing but this dressed has converted me into a yellow lover.  I love it!  I really wanted one of these crochet waisted from Topshop last summer, so I was really happy to see it at AX Paris for a mere £21.  I want it in every colour now.  I was so happy to get to wear these sandals too.  I got them at the end of last summer in the sale for £5 and never got the chance to wear them because the weather wasn't nice enough.  They are so comfy and really allow your feet to breathe in this heat, because who likes hot sweaty feet?

I didn't know what to do with my hair in this heat because there's only so many days I can rock a topknot before I get bored, but I don't like my hair all over my face when I'm hot.  So I decided to get out my vintage hairstyles book that I got for my birthday for a little inspiration.  After a quick flick through I decided to try a more relaxed version of this:

I very rarely do a makeup shot because I'm never usually happy with a skin but I seem to have finally found the combination that works for my skin.  I also wanted to share with you my love for this BB Cream, I've tried a few different ones and this is by far my favourite.  It's the lightest I could find and not a hint of orange in sight.  I just love how natural it looks and it really does even out my skin tone.  I find it applies best with a stippling blush and can be easily built up for more coverage.  I cannot recommend this enough, it will take a lot for a foundation to beat this one for me.

The title of this post is from a Super Furry Animals song, which is on The OC soundtrack.  I love the soundtracks to The OC and I found myself singing this line of the song over and over when I got up to the glorious sunshine yesterday.  If you follow me on twitter you'll know that I went for a little wander in the sun which resulted in a few unplanned cheeky Topshop purchases.  So just thought I'd share what I got with you all.

I couldn't believe when I saw this dress with a £10 sticker on.  I love it!  I'd seen it in the sale on the website for £22 but it seems to be sold out at Topshop now.  However it is still available on the Love website in their 2 for £40 section, which is a great deal when many of the dresses alone are over £40.  I'm loving this dress in the deal too.

I fell in love with this top when I saw it on the lovely Lily in one of her posts.  This is the fourth Topshop I've looked for it in, so was over the moon when I saw it yesterday.



This post is long overdue as I actually bought all of this with the rest of my birthday money about 3 weeks ago.  I'd been meaning to show you what I got since I bought them but then I got the nastiest cold which has now turned into the most annoying cough, so I couldn't be bothered to take pictures and then when I did I completely forgot about them.  Flu brain!

I love this vest.  You can't really tell from the picture but it is a really light jersey material that hangs so nicely.  I also love the dropped armholes so I can wear a bandeau underneath it to add a pop of colour.

You may recognise this jumper from my last outfit post.  I love this jumper but it doesn't really photograph very well.  It is actually a really nice pinky beige colour with a metallic sheen.

 Shorts, £34 - Topshop

I tried these shorts on in every single colour and pattern they had and wanted them all, but I was very strict and only allowed myself to buy one pair.  I just love the fit of them and the high waist.  They are the most perfect pair of denim shorts I have ever owned, I'm very tempted to go back for a pair in another colour.

I bought the bandeau to wear under the vest I got from H&M and it is actually a lot brighter in real life.  The jumper I just couldn't resist because it is just so cute and I love having jumpers like this to just throw on when I need to walk Riley and it's a bit chilly.

I instantly fell in love with this playsuit as soon as I saw it.  I couldn't get it in my basket quick enough!  I love everything about it... the little pearlescent buttons, the collar tips and the raspberry colour of the shorts.  This was definitely my favourite buy of this shopping trip.

Just a quick outfit post to share with you today on this miserable grey day.  I will be glad when these clouds are gone and I can get my little summer dresses out.

I'd love to say that I have all these wonderful MAC brushes but to be honest if I was a little bit less useless I'd definitely invest in them.  When it comes to makeup brushes though I am an expert at misplacing them, never to be seen again.  I kid you not I can be using it then I'll put it down to grab something else out of my makeup bag and that sneaky little brush fairy will swoop down and take it.  Now I know many of you probably don't believe in fairies and may think that I am talking absolute nonsense, but what else could it be?  The other reason I don't tend to buy expensive brushes is because, and I am ashamed to admit this, I don't clean them as regularly as I should so when I think they're a bit too grubby to try and clean I just throw them out.  So after a little online, I was going to say window shopping but would you call it screen shopping?, anyway I had a look online and saw quite a few people had Fraulein 38 brush sets.  After a little research I found out that it was a German brand which was only set up in 2009 that sells a variety of cosmetics.  I saw no bad reviews of their brushes and after seeing the price I had no reason not to give them a try.  I ended up getting mine off ebay from this seller for £8.96.



I had quite a few posts planned for this weekend with all my new goodies, some of which I still need to photograph to put on here.  I was going to do it days ago but I was hit full force with the dreaded cold, so I've hardly left my bed except to go to the cinema with my friend on her birthday.  We went to see American Pie: The Reunion, it was great.  I'd forgotten how much I loved Stifler and the gang.  So with a nose like Rudolph and my room turned into a nurses station (maybe a tad dramatic), with boxes of tissues, strepsils, cough sweets and extra strong Halls strewn around my room I just don't have the energy to tidy it to take pictures.  So, I decided to share some pictures on here that I wasn't planning to because their neither fashion or beauty related.  Then I decided why not because, I may be bias, but Riley is a real beauty.  Sorry if it's a bit photo heavy but it was to hard to choose and this isn't even all of them.



I only discovered Sheinside fairly recently, and as they are offering 15% off on their website and have free delivery, I thought I'd take a look. As a huge Wildfox fan I began to notice, as I was browsing, that Sheinside have several items that could easily be mistaken for Wildfox goods at a fraction of the price. Upon closer inspection I noticed that some of the pictures are actual Wildfox items. I don't know if they have just done this for reference or what, but now I'm a little confused as to what the actual items would be like if I were to order them. As much as I'd love an original Wildfox my bank account isn't a very big fan of their prices, so I'm very tempted to get one of these copycat jumpers, especially the mermaid one.
