Lip Exfoliating Gel

13:58

If there's one thing I really suffer from, it's dry lips.  I'm constantly on the lookout for new products to try and combat their dryness from lip scrubs to lip balms.  So when I saw this "magical moisturising" lip exfoliator from BornPretty I was intrigued to find out what was so magical about it.

The gel comes in a tube with a small nozzle on the end, dispensing the perfect amount to apply to the lips.  The product itself is a clear gel containing tiny pink exfoliating beads, there is not much of a scent to it but I do detect a hint of coconut.  Now I'm not exactly sure how this gel works but I definitely agree with the statement that it is magical!  Once I started to rub the gel onto my lips it changed to more of a watery texture and felt really wet on my lips, as I continued to rub it in all the dry skin just seemed to lift off and disappear.  I was amazed by how smooth and soft my lips were left, as I was just expecting it to be like any other lip scrub I had tried, and regular use has really improved the condition of my lips.  The only downside of this product is the taste, if you happen to get any of it in your mouth (which is bound to happen when using lip products) your left with an eye wincing bitter taste in your mouth, which is not the nicest but not disgusting enough to make me not want to use this product.  I would just forewarn you that if you do decide to try this product to just clean your lips slightly to get rid of any residue but even if you don't the taste soon disappears.

For £2.60 I think this lip exfoliator is a bargain and was definitely so much more than I was expecting.  I used to have problems with my lips drying out when I applied lipsticks and this gel seems to have solved that problem.  If they could just work on the taste I would happily call this a perfect lip product.  This product is already a bargain but if you would like to try it or any of BornPretty's great affordable products then all my readers can get 10% off using the discount code "SAK31".
