Paris Fashion Week: Day 2

Here are my favourite collections from the second day of Paris Fashion Week...

These looks are all from Manish Arora's Spring/Summer 2011 collection who once again has taken us into a fantasy world. This time it was of the futuristic glamazon with gold body armour, LED lights, crystal beading, wide shoulders and hips, bold patterns and leggings so skintight it gave the illusion that they had been painted on. This was all done in a beautiful colour palette of mainly lilac, turquoise and coral, which added a softness to the futuristic warrior.

Nina Ricci is going pretty Parisian chic for next season with light chiffon, lace, satin and a hint of tweed. The show started out in nude colours of pale pinks, peaches and white before moving into bolder colours of blue, yellow and a darker shade of pink. Styles were very feminine with nipped in belted and paperbag waists, ruffles, pleats and frills.
