I've seen a few people do these nails so I thought I'd give it a try.  (I'm really sorry I haven't credited anybody for them but I honestly can't remember where I saw them! I'm so rubbish!)

I used Barry M nail paint in Navy and Barry M Dazzle Dust.  I don't know exactly what the colour is because I've had it that long it's rubbed off, but it's kind of an ice blue colour.  

It's so simple to do, anybody can do it.  First paint your nails in your selected colour, then put a spot of dazzle dust just below your cuticle and blow it onto the nail before it drys.  The effect you get depends on how much dust you use, so you just have to experiment to see how much you like.  I would recommend starting with a smaller amount though, as you can always add more if you want.  Then once you've finished apply a top coat keep them looking perfect and add a bit of shine.

 I've heard a few good things about this Take A Brow eyebrow kit, so when I saw it in the sale at Primark for £2 I thought I'd give it a try.  I'll let you know how I get on with it when I use it.

I also got this snake ring from Primark in the sale for £1.  I saw loads and loads that I could've bought in Primark but as I am supposedly on a shopping ban I was good and only bought a sheer maxi skirt, which was in the sale for £5.  I will do an outfit post for it soon.

What bargains have you picked up lately?

I loved waking up to the sun shining through my window this morning, and fully took advantage of the opportunity to wear my new floral jumpsuit for a lovely walk by the river in the sun.  It's so comfy and I love that it has deep pockets.  Although if I were to put anything too heavy in the pockets I am afraid it may result in some accidental flashing, as the top of the jumpsuit is quite loosely elasticated.

What have you been up to on this lovely sunny day?

For a while I have been racking my brain as to what I could choose for K in my A-Z of favourite things, so I decided to cheat a little bit on this one.  I didn't want to just put 'Kitchen' because I don't love kitchens but I do love baking in the kitchen, especially cakes.  There's something I find really therapeutic about it.  So this week as I don't have any outfit posts to share with you, due to a nasty cold sore I have now from being so run down, I will share with you a picture of the Banoffee Cupcakes I made this week.

I'm hoping to one day be able to make cupcakes as perfect as these...

As I have been a little MIA on my blog this week, I just want to thank you all for all your lovely comments.  I appreciate every single one of you and am looking forward to catching up on your blogs.

The title of this post is from the new and final Harry Potter film, which I went to see this afternoon.  I have watched all the films and read all the books apart from the last one, and to be honest I'm glad now that I never read the last one because I don't think I would've quite enjoyed the film so much if I had read it.  This film is definitely my favourite of them all, and I think that might have something to do with not knowing what was coming next.  I was really happy with the ending.  What did you think?

After I was quite impressed with my mini Matalan haul last month, I decided to take another trip there.  I was very naughty and am supposed to be trying to cut down on my shopping habit, but once I got there I just couldn't resist... oops.  I did try to keep it to a minimum though, but seeing as there was a sale on it would've just been rude not to.

I've had to do this post a little later than planned as I have been ill all week and just couldn't find the motivation to do it.  Now, that I am starting to feel a little better I have decided to do a post from the comfort of my bed.  I had a great weekend last weekend with much better weather than I was expecting, especially with the horrible storms we had right before the weekend.  On Saturday my Aunty and Uncle had a big summer party to raise money for charity.  We have had a few family members suffer from cancer lately some we sadly lost, but after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year my Aunty was given the all clear recently.  So this was a great reason to celebrate and give back.  There was a raffle, tombola and lots of fun and games, and between us we managed to raise £215.

 (My lovely cousin who is due to give birth in 5 weeks, can't wait for a bit of baby shopping!)

I made the mistake of staying up with a few others until 5.30 in the morning, sitting around a fire chatting and drinking, which wouldn't have been such a huge mistake if my parents hadn't decided to take a spontaneous trip to the seaside in the morning.  Having stayed over and expecting to go straight home first thing I had no change of clothes or make up, and was definitely a bit zombie like after only 2 hours sleep.  After a quick nap in the car I was feeling a bit more refreshed and looking forward to a day by the sea.  Excuse my appearance in the following pictures, I was a little worse for wear.

All in all it was the best weekend I've had this summer so far.

Just wanted to say hello to all my lovely followers and thank you for all your lovely comments.  Hope you have all had a great weekend and have been making the most of the nice sunny spell we've had over the past few days.  I've loved being able to sit out in the sunshine with my friends drinking cocktails, eating Dominos pizza and cheering on Nadal in the Wimbledon final.  I was sad my poor Rafa lost, but Djokovic played amazingly well and really earnt his trophy.  And, at least we still got a sneak peek at Nadal's hot bod!

Anyway, getting back to the main point of this post, I was so happy to get the chance to wear my new hat for a few days.  I love it!  Here are a few pics...

As I'm still going through the A-Z of my favourite things, I've had this post in the pipeline for a while.  It's taken me so long to get around to doing it because I'm ashamed to admit that my jewellery collection is a big old mess, and I was hoping to get it all organised and some proper storage for it before doing this post.  However, I still haven't had chance to do this and didn't want to put this post off any longer.  Then I had the brilliant idea that if I do it now you lovely people might be able to share some cheap and cheerful storage ideas with me.

So, as I didn't want to show you the massive mess of jewellery, I just picked out a few of my favourite things that I'm wearing a lot right now...

Rings are probably my favourite item of jewellery, and I am dying for one of these armour rings.

I know a lot of people are of the opinion that less is more but when it comes to jewellery I believe that more is more.  I love stacked bracelets and necklaces.

I love jewellery so much, and have recently started making my own, which you can find here.  I am hoping to build up a bit more of a collection in the coming months so I can open a little online store.  The problem is I worry that it may be a little erratic because I don't want to stick to just one style, because I love all types of jewellery from antique styles to bright beads and friendship bracelets.  What do you think?  Should I try all different styles or just stick to one?
