This weekend my sister went to an African themed fancy dress party and I ended up doing her hair and make up for her. It didn't end up being quite as perfect as I would've liked, but for my first time doing it and the short amount of time I had to do it (I literally had 10 minutes, if that, to do her hair!), all in all I was pleased with it. With a little more practice I think this is something I could really enjoy doing.
