London Fashion Week: Day 5

23:45

Technically yesterday was the last day of London Fashion Week, but day 5 was the last day for womenswear shows. So before we move onto Milan here are my favourites from that day...

There was a major Indian influence in Issa's Spring/Summer 2011 collection with modern sari style maxi and midi length dresses in brilliantly bright jewel tones. Looks were accessorised with bejewelled turbans, adding a touch of glamour to the Indian style.

These looks are all from Burberry Prorsum's Spring/Summer 2011 runway show, and by the looks of it Burberry has gone all biker chic for next season with leather biker jackets and skin-tight leather leggings with padded thighs. Even the infamous Burberry trench was given a biker style upgrade.

The Western trend hit the catwalk again at Fashion Week in this Ashish Spring/Summer 2011 runway show. I love his take on the trend and he seemed to have a lot more fun with it with sequined cow print, bright Western style shirts and heavy fringing on jackets, dresses, trousers and shorts. These outfits were perfectly accessorised with customised cowgirl boots, neck scarves, stetsons and trucker hats accessorised with Indian headdress style feathers.
