Milan Fashion Week: Days 6

23:32

Here are may favourite shows from the final day of Milan Fashion Week...

These looks are all from Roberto Cavalli's Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I loved this show, everything from the clothes to the giant plastic plants at the entrance to the runway. They made the models look like they had emerged from the jungle and had just fought tooth and nail with their dresses shredded and crocodile teeth charms. There was a lot of chiffon snakeskin and an abundance of fringing, on everything from hipsters to bags to shoes, which gave great movement on the catwalk.

The thing that caught my eye about Giorgio Armani's Spring/Summer 2011 collection is that, unlike other collections that are mainly white or bright summer colours, Giorgio Armani is taking us to the dark side of summer. The collection was made up of sophisticated yet glamorous garments all in black and midnight blue.

DSquared2 Spring/Summer 2011 collection is geek chic with a twist. Models wore socks with shoes and black rimmed glasses, but rather than the obvious, preppy clothing was teamed with sequins and also came in the form of eveningwear. I am absolutely loving their take on the androgynous look.
