New York Fashion Week: Day 8

22:39

Here are my favourite collections from the final day of New York Fashion Week...

These looks are all from Davidelfin's Spring/Summer 2011 collection, whose looks are simple yet very strong and sleek. He stuck to a simple colour palette of black white and this amazing cobalt blue. The colour just pops and I LOVE it. Looks were a twist on tailoring for both men and women with missing sleeves or a triangular shirt neckline held in place with neon straps and belts.

These looks are from Gwen Stefani's label L.A.M.B Spring/Summer 2011 collection. To me L.A.M.B is an extension of Gwen Stefani's own personal style, as I can see her in every single piece from this collection. This collection has an African influence to it with bold tribal print dresses, Ikat and Batik fabrics, which are given a modern twist with pleats, folds and ruffles.

These looks are all from Ralph Lauren's Spring/Summer 2011 runway show, who looks to be setting a Western trend for next season. Models wore suede and fringing was seen everywhere on jackets, trousers, shorts, skirts, vests, scarves and bags. The majority of outfits were worn with concho belts carrying the Western theme throughout the whole collection.
